We know there are many resources to find summer camps across the nation but we’re hoping our list gives you a taste of not only the bigger more well-known camps but also some of the smaller nuanced camps. Here are a few tips when making your summer camp schedule.
I recently read an article on scholastic.com and the author quoted Albert Einstein “The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.” I thought that was odd to quote him for this particular article but then read this by Ellen Booth Church: “Through activities with the arts, children learn to express the “mysterious” – their rapidly growing understandings, their thoughts, and their feelings.
There is nothing more exciting than discovering new artists for children and adults alike. We would like to share five of our favorite artists of all disciplines that are sure to spark the imagination of your child. We feature Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and her dots, Mexican artist Pedro Linares and his Alebrijes, American Illustrator Sam Wedelich and her illustrations, Charles Schulz and his comics and Joan Miro and his animals.
